What are Solid Roof Conservatories?
A conservatory is not a habitable room, being too cold in winter and too hot in summer. Research at the University of Cranfield has shown that unless energy is expended on artificial heating and cooling, the average south-facing conservatory reaches a comfortable temperature for only two hours a day. The glass or poly-carbonate roof and walls have a minimal insulation value, and a conservatory is little more than a greenhouse tacked onto the side of a house.
Poly carbonate roofs are old fashioned and are to some extent unusable due to the fact that the insulation provided by them is of minimal value. This, of course leads to overheating during the summer and unbearably cold temperatures during the winter, your conservatory is often left as a storage room during the year.
Our Solid Roofs however, solve the problems that have plagued conservatories for decades. Our Solid Roofs reverse the problems inherently associated with conservatories by providing warmth in winter and maintaining cooler temperatures in summer, our customers tell us this every time. In fact; in our experience, having a more comfortable living space year-round is the number 1 reason our customers choose us to replace their conservatory roof for one of our Solid Roofs.
Our Solid Roofs are currently the best and most affordable option to create a usable space out of what was once considered to be unusable space in your conservatory by replacing the roof on your conservatory at an affordable price.
Our Solid Roofs are lightweight, strong and versatile meaning the applications extend across our New Build Solid Roof Conservatory range, our Solid Roof Replacement range, right through to our Solid Roof Extension range.
Our roofs provide insulation through a number of factors. Firstly, the roof contains proper housing grade insulation which insulates against hot and cold temperatures on the outside while maintaining the temperature within. Secondly, the tiles reflect the sun’s energy and provide a certain amount of insulation to the roof. An additional benefit, but sometimes overlooked is the fact that our Solid Roofs help to minimise irritating rain noise.
We keep our prices low and quality remains high which equates in our opinion to what we call value for money. We are confident that you will be pleased with our products on offer and we are confident that you will love our prices too.
